Before you start
You need an active IN-STORE account and a Claude plan that allows custom connectors. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner of the Claude workspace may have to allow custom connectors first.
Add the connector
- Open claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, click your name in the bottom-left corner and choose Settings.
- In the Customize group on the left choose Connectors, then press "+ Add" in the top-right corner and choose "Add custom connector".
- Name: IN-STORE. MCP server URL: https://in-store.ca/api/mcp. Press Continue.
- Claude checks the address and shows the sign-in settings it detected ("Sign in now" and "Register automatically"). Leave them as they are, scroll down and press Add.
- A page of in-store.ca opens. Sign in with your IN-STORE email and password if you are asked. If the page does not open, press Connect (or Reconnect) on the IN-STORE connector page.
- On the "Allow access?" page check that the right account is shown, choose what the assistant may do and press Allow.
- You are back in Claude: IN-STORE shows a Disconnect button and its tool permissions. For each group of tools you can choose whether Claude asks you first.

Use it in a chat
In a new chat open the tools menu under the message box and make sure IN-STORE is switched on. Then simply ask, for example "What is waiting for my approval this week?".
Claude asks for your permission the first time it uses each tool. You can allow it once or always; either way our own two-step confirmation still applies to every change.
A connector you add on the web or in the desktop app also works in the Claude mobile app with the same Claude account.
