Web Design & Development

B2B web development for websites, portals and platforms

Our B2B web development is for sites that do real work: bring in leads, serve clients in a secure portal and fill your CRM. We build on WordPress, Wix or React, build to WCAG 2.1 AA (verified per project), and host what we build.

01The challenge

Where B2B web development projects lose time and money

Most mid-market websites get rebuilt every few years for the same reasons. The design ages, but the deeper problem is how the site was built and connected.

Your site is slow and hard to change

Heavy themes and plugins slow pages down and hurt search rankings. Simple updates need a developer, so marketing waits weeks for a new landing page.

Leads get lost between the form and the CRM

Form submissions land in a shared inbox and get copied into the CRM by hand, if at all. Where the lead came from is lost, follow-up is slow, and nobody knows which pages bring in deals.

Accessibility and privacy come last

Your lawyer asks whether the site meets AODA or ADA expectations, and nobody knows. Cookie notices, CASL consent on forms and privacy notices were added bit by bit.

SpeedHow fast pages load, including Core Web Vitals
The difference shows up in speed, data quality and risk, not just the design.
02What you get

What we build

From a marketing site to a client portal with logins and payments. We plan the build around what the site has to do for sales and operations, and our CTO checks every technical plan.

Pages and portalWhat visitors and clients actually use
We plan each layer separately, so you can change the design without rebuilding the connections.

B2B websites

Company and marketing sites with service pages, industry pages, resource libraries and landing page templates. Your team can publish without a developer.

  • Site structure and page sketches
  • Reusable page blocks
  • A landing page builder for campaigns

Client and partner portals

Secure areas where clients fill in forms, upload documents, track status, pay invoices or download reports. Each person sees only what their role allows.

  • Logins, roles and permissions
  • Document upload and status tracking
  • Admin dashboards for your team

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Pages built to load fast and stay steady on phones. We measure them against Google's Core Web Vitals and keep watching after launch.

  • Lighter images and scripts
  • Caching and CDN setup
  • Ongoing speed monitoring

Accessibility

Design and code built to WCAG 2.1 AA, verified per project with automated and manual testing, to support AODA obligations in Ontario and ADA expectations in the US.

  • Keyboard and screen reader testing
  • Color contrast and focus states
  • Accessibility statement and fix log

Multi-brand and white-label builds

One codebase for several brands, regions or partners, each with its own domain, look and content. Updates go out once and show up everywhere.

  • Shared blocks, a look for each brand
  • Partner subdomains and branding
  • Central control of content and releases

Hosting and maintenance

Managed hosting, security updates, backups, uptime checks and monthly time for changes. The site stays fast and up to date after launch.

  • Security patches and backups
  • Uptime and error monitoring
  • Monthly time for changes
03Compare the options

Choosing the right platform

We are a recognized Wix partner, build a lot on WordPress and develop headless React apps. So we recommend the platform that fits your team, not the one we like best.

WordPress

A good fit when you publish a lot of content, need lots of plugins or want an automated content pipeline posting straight to your blog.

  • Strong for content and SEO
  • Lots of developers know it
  • Needs regular upkeep

Wix

A good fit when your marketing team wants full control of pages with little technical upkeep. The platform handles hosting and security.

  • Quick to launch and edit
  • Hosting and security included
  • Less suited to complex portals

Headless or custom React

A good fit for portals, multi-brand platforms and complex connections, where the front end must be fast and the back end must talk to your systems.

  • Most speed and flexibility
  • Best for portals and apps
  • Costs more to build and support
WixEasiest to edit, moderate flexibility
How your team edits, and how complex your connections are, decide the platform.
04Security and compliance

Accessibility, privacy and security built in

Your website is often the first place legal and procurement teams look. We build it so their review is short.

AODA in Ontario

Ontario organizations above the size threshold must make public websites accessible. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA, verified per project, which goes beyond the WCAG 2.0 AA level AODA refers to.

ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA in the US

US accessibility complaints usually point to WCAG 2.1 AA. We test with screen readers and keyboard-only use, and record every fix in a log.

Privacy and consent

Cookie notices, privacy notices and form consent designed around PIPEDA, Quebec privacy rules, CASL for Canadian email and CAN-SPAM in the US.

Security practices

People get only the access they need, connections are encrypted, and we keep software updated and backed up. A written incident process is ready for your IT security review.

IN-STORE is not SOC 2 audited; we document controls mapped to SOC 2 criteria for your vendor review.

05How it works

How we deliver a web project

You see working pages early and often. Content, design and development happen side by side, so launch dates hold.

DiscoverySitemap, platform and connection plan agreed
You can see the test site from the build stage on, so launch holds no surprises.
  1. Discovery and site plan

We map your audiences, their paths through the site, your connections and your content. Then we agree on a sitemap, a platform and a technical plan.

  2. Design and clickable mockup

Page sketches and a clickable mockup of the key pages. Sales and marketing review them before we write any code.

  3. Build and connect

Building blocks, pages and connections built on a test site you can check at any time.

  4. Test and launch

We test accessibility, speed, browsers and forms. We redirect old URLs to protect your search rankings, then launch carefully.

  5. Host, maintain, improve

Monitoring, updates and monthly improvements based on your analytics and lead numbers.

06Integrations

Integrations we connect

A B2B site earns its keep through the systems behind it. We connect forms, portals and checkouts to the tools your teams already use.

CRM

HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho and other CRMs get each lead with its source, campaign and pages viewed.

Payments

Stripe checkout, subscriptions and invoices, with tax handled for Canadian and US customers.

Booking and calendars

Google Calendar and scheduling tools for demos, consultations and service appointments.

Analytics and tags

GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console and ad platform tracking, set up with consent.

Automation platforms

Make and n8n workflows that route leads, alert teams and update records after each submission.

Every form, booking and payment on the site lands in the system that needs it.
07Pricing

B2B web development pricing

We quote web projects on scope: number of page templates, connections, languages and portal features. You get a fixed price for the build and a monthly price for hosting and upkeep.

FAQQuestions buyers ask

Frequently asked questions

Will a redesign hurt our search rankings?

It can if URLs change without a plan. Before launch we list every page Google knows about and point each one to its new address. We keep titles and search data that work, and send updated sitemaps to Google Search Console. Then we watch rankings and errors for several weeks after launch and fix problems quickly.

Is our website legally required to be accessible?

In Ontario, the AODA requires many organizations to make public websites accessible. In the US, the ADA is widely applied to websites, and complaints usually point to WCAG 2.1 AA. We're not your lawyers, but we build and test to WCAG 2.1 AA. You get a fix log and an accessibility statement your legal team can review.

Can our marketing team edit the site without a developer?

Yes. Whatever platform we use, we build a set of approved page blocks. Marketing can create landing pages, update text and publish content on its own. You only need a developer for new features or connections. We include training and short how-to guides at handover.

Can you build one platform for several brands or partners?

Yes. We build multi-brand and white-label platforms on shared code, where each brand or partner has its own domain, look and content. IN-STORE runs this setup every day: our own client intake portal runs under a partner agency's brand on their subdomain, and updates go out once for both.

Where is the site hosted, and can data stay in Canada?

We host on major cloud providers such as AWS, or on Wix's own servers for Wix sites. Canadian data residency for portals and databases is available on request, subject to scoping. We write down where each kind of data is stored. If you have specific hosting rules, we plan around them from the start.
